This ENC in-depth discussion is part of a special podcast series with academics and experts dedicated to the War in Ukraine. The series will provide views and investigate the repercussions of the war across the EU, the UK, and wider Europe. In the 12th episode we are focusing on the role of the United Nations (UN) in the war so far.
The discussion was moderated by Andreas Marazis, ENC Head of Research for Eastern Europe & Central Asia, and features the comments and insights of Dr. Georgios Kostakos, co-founder and Executive Director of the Foundation for Global Governance and Sustainability (FOGGS) with almost thirty years of work experience in international affairs, both as a practitioner and as a researcher. About half of the time he was with the UN in various field assignments including Bosnia, South Africa, Haiti, and Mexico and in the department of Political Affairs in New York in the office of secretary-general Kofi Annan and Ban Ki-moon.
