This time we present you a Special ENC In-Depth discussion, which consists of two parts, dedicated to the launching of the ENC Perspectives Publication “Threats to Stability in Wider Europe”.
On the first part of our special ENC In-Depth, we invited Dr. Rick Fawn, Professor of International Relations at the University of St Andrews and Dr. Maria Raquel Freire Associate Professor in International Relations at the University of Coimbra to discuss the role of external actors in wider Europe’s security.
On the second part we invited Dr. Bruno De Cordier, Professor at the Department of Conflict and Development Studies of Ghent University and Samuel Doveri Vesterbye Managing Director of European Neighbourhood Council (ENC) to discuss the EU’s relations with regional actors in Central Asia, Turkey and beyond.
These and other issues were addressed during the In-Depth interviews with ENC Head Researcher for Eastern Europe and Central Asia, Andreas Marazis.
In this month’s ENC In-Depth we hosted Mr. Jimmy Jamar who is the Head of the European Commission Representation in Belgium and discussed about the European Commission’s new initiative, EU Solidarity Corps.
The European Solidarity Initiative is a new tool which creates opportunities for young people to volunteer or work in projects in their own country or abroad that benefit communities and people around Europe. Andreas Marazis and Mr. Jimmy Jamar tried to stress the value of this new programme for young individuals, as well as its potential for the EU’s neighbourhood.
